COVID-19 Update

The health and well-being of your children and our staff is our top priority. This is our current response to Covid-19 which we will continually update.

 

Face covering use by passengers

There is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering on Public Transport. The government suggests that people continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where they may come into contact with other people they do not normally meet.

 

Operators are free to set their own conditions of carriage and people should check with the operator of the service they are using before travelling.

 

Despite restrictions being removed, we continue to insist that all students on Home to School Transport to continue wearing face coverings.

 

If you are a school or college and booking our coach for your own trip we would follow your rules in the case of wearing face coverings for your students

 

The government has confirmed that social distancing will not apply to school transport services and it is expected that all services run as normal. Pupils are expected to be sensible and follow the guidelines as set out below. The driver will not be expected to enforce the use of face coverings or seating plans.

 

We ask to make sure that your children:

 

1. Are in good health and have no serious underline issues that may affect them travelling with us on the day.

2. Have face masks - to be worn at all times on the coach. They will be allowed to eat and drink in the normal manner and removal of masks is expected during this process.

3. Have a spare mask with them in case their original break

 

 

Our new  internal measures are:

1. We regularly disinfect our coaches more frequently now, then pre-covid times and this will continue as a minimum at inspection times.

2. Fitted hand sanitiser dispensers on all vehicles, free to be used by everyone when boarding and disembarking from the coach.

3. All staff (including our drivers) will be supplied with face masks and we expect them to be worn unless they have an exemption.

4. We encourage all staff to maintain good hand, respiratory and personal hygiene by employing the ‘Catch It. Bin It. Kill It’ ethos -Additional Wall sanitisers have been fitted throughout the office and kitchen.

 

If you tested positive, please let us know so that we can make a note on our system and inform our drivers and passenger assistant.
